I keep seeing this dude’s videos getting linked on car sites and Facebook pages I follow. I never clicked on them because in all the thumbnails, he looks like an annoying little shit.
So while viewing a YouTube video for work (seriously) a bunch of his were in the recommended videos tab....
So I clicked on one.
I watched about 30 seconds.
Then I turned that shit off because DAD GUM he’s annoying as shit.
I hate it when I’m right.

Convince me he’s not Alex jones

He taught me how to change a water pump on a X5, but I could do without all the amped up energy. He gets millions of views though.
And OF COURSE he owns a Corvette. Stereotypes happen for a reason.

How to succeed on youtube; take interesting sounding topics and present them in a consistently obnoxious way

He’s his brother, Xela Senoj.

Travish hates him too. And believe it or not he has an Emmy

And I bet he can’t walk on water.

Not only is he annoying, some of his advice is terrible and/or dangerous.

I’m surprised you made it 30 seconds

I hate him and everything he stands for. And the fact that his followers circle jerk him and each other in every video.
Watch his video about keyless cars. He’s like an automotive Luddite

I had to make it past the annoying intro so I could hear what the fuck he was saying.

He looks like every customer that I have that thinks they’re smarter than factory trained techs because they found repair info online and they’re going to avoid the “stealership” and fix it themselves.
Oh, and they won’t pay retail price for the part they need, because they found it online for WAY cheaper...

When I was learning to replace window assemblies on my car, I got wind of one of his videos. Damn, did he over complicate the whole process. I actually remember his video as a what-not-to-do example.

The editing is bad too.
If you make it past REV UP YOUR ENGINES! It cuts from 3-second clip to 3-second clip, except that each 3-second clip is more like 5 seconds long, because it lingers on his grinning face every time he finishes saying something. It’s like he’s waiting for the cameraman to say “cut”, and they never trim it off in post.

REV UP YOUR ENGINNNNNNEESSSSSSS!!!!
(cue cold revving motor rattling to a premature death due to constant cold temp revving)

Depending on the make of car, you can find genuine parts online for less than dealership prices. I don’t think I’ve needed anything from a Land Rover dealership in about 5 years.
Hell I even have a factory service manual, I just need save up for a Hawkeye and I’ll have everything I need to diagnose ODBII Land Rovers.

Yea that’s exactly the personality

He kind of reminds me of a chicken when he talks. His rant on mercedes was full of crap. I get the part that the transmissions have no dipstick (I don’t like crawling under to fill) but come on its a luxury car and you have to stomach the costs if not just sell it.

Yep. I watched his video about how to replace a brake line, and he used a compression fitting.

He’s not just annoying, he’s also a dangerous idiot.

(That was actually a customer ‘Vette. He owns a Celica)

Yes but to come INTO a dealership because you are trying to get free diagnosis/part numbers so you can turn around and buy them online....

This guy is annoying as shit, no doubt. I watched a few seconds of one of his videos awhile back, laughed at how bad it was, and said “never again.”

Seeing the exact part online for quite a bit less would infuriate anyone. All costs should be made up through the labor, then people wouldn’t be so taken aback. But then consumers would be able to shop between service centers more easily, and we can’t have that. It’s a hugely inefficient market.

Agreed. But since most dealer department personnel are paid on commission, its hard to give stuff away unless you’re a huge wholesaler and have an online store.
And customers that will wait a few days for shipping.

I don’t trust anyone wearing transition lenses.

This was exactly what I wanted it to say. Carry on

The whole setup is just taking advantage of everyone along the line. Commission on top of that is just terrible. :-(
![]() 07/06/2016 at 15:20 |

Oh well yeah, fuck those people.
I at least pay my independant guy to diagnose my vehicle if I can’t. Then I supply the parts (only genuine LR parts mind you, he won’t warranty aftermarket) and throw him a bit extra cash for labor under the table, that way we both win.

I watched 2 of his videos, and he mentioned how you should buy a $400 Celica at least 20 times in each video.

Oh yeah...that was a particularly frightening example.

Oh, I assumed that was his vette. Kind of suit’s him.
